Hello,

I photographed this fly in Bazzano (AQ), Italy on March 25th 2021. I think it is a Sphaeroceridae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

At the risk of being wrong I would suggest Pteremis fenestralis but difficult to see if the costa runs past R4+5 or not...

OK, thanks Roger, now if someone would just ID the fly I would be happy.

FTAO - Gordon; Please make sure that you use lower case, because attachments with extensions in upper case (capitals) are rejected. So sayeth GOD AKA Paul. Cool

A file called "Fly01a" has an UPPERCASE "F" Gordon. The site takes a dim view of UPPERCASE "'F's"!! awkward
