This picture was taken in July this year in Voronezh region (Central black-earth zone, Russia). The beetle is sitting on the ear of winter triticale plant (a hybrid between rye and wheat). In Zabrus males, the front tarsi have three broadened, heart-shaped segments, whereas Anisodactylus males have front tarsi (and often also median tarsi) with four such broadened segments. Provided that yours is a male, I would count four segments... However, to be on the safe side, send Frank Koehler a personal message and ask for advice - he is a very good Coleoptera expert.
