It was resting on a leaf of Filipendula ulmaria in a wet meadow. I'm having trouble identifying it and I am even unsure about its sex (I'm leaning toward a female). Perhaps it belongs to the genus Dolichopus, but the partially red antennae and very pale legs (femurs, tibiae) seem unusual to me. I'd appreciate your opinions on this insect. Can we identify the genus, or even suggest a species ? Thank you in advance, Dominique |

Thank you, Manu70, for this suggestion. For the Poecilobothrus chrysozygos species, shouldn't there be a black spot on the hind femur (which is not the case here) ? |

In the linked post, this black spot is missing. I suppose that explains the conditional nature of the identification. |
