Hi, An other Lonchaea from the Netherlands, dunes ferest april 19the 2025 Following the key: Eyes bare 9 Anterior genal setae: forming a single row along mouth margin (Fig. H) 18 Legs; Tarsomeres partly pale or brownish 31 Palps; of normal size 32 Calypteres; fringes brown to black 52 Scutellum; at least several setulae located on disc 53 Proepimeron: with more than 1 setula 54 Proepimeron; with usually at most 6 setulae But then... 55 a. Proepimeron; with ~6 setulae--> yes Scutellum; usually no setulae on margin anterior to lateral setae -->no b. Many Thanks Iain, Took an other look: 9. Anterior genal setae: in multiple rows 10 Proepimeron: with a few well-developed setae / setulae (Fig. J) ……… (patens species-group) .. 15 15 Legs; Tarsomeres obviously yellow/ orange. Male terminalia: not as above 16 Scutellum; setulae present on margin anterior to lateral setae (Fig. D) 17 Proepimeron; with up to 7 setulae. Legs; basal and t2 yellow. basal tarsomere of fore tarsi with ventral fringe of setulae golden. Anterior genal setae; obviously multiserial. Orbital plate; with several setulae Male terminalia; Cercus; almost as large as epandrium. Phallus; distiphallus almost straight (Fig. 15). . . patens Kind regards, Sandra |
