Tribe Chironomini. Considering the densely hairy wings I could consider Sergentia, Phaenopsectra, and Polypedilum (Pentapedilum) first. |

Sergentia have their hair towards the apex of the wing. There are only two Phaenopsectra in Europe described, and they don't match this. The 8th tergite to me looks slightly triangular and the genitalia reminds me more of Pentapedilum. I think this is Pentapedilum. Edited by Chiroguy on 14-02-2026 20:16 |
