Have a good Day. One Question please. I found another picture of tephritis. Could this be tephritis crepidis? Unfortunately, I only have this one picture. I would be very grateful for an answer. Location data: Austria, Lower Austria, Tattendorf, 220m, garden, 3.4.2024 Kind regards Karl. karl7 attached the following image: ![]() [113.26Kb] Edited by karl7 on 14-02-2026 19:49 |

Merz (1994) proposed to distinguish it the followng way: ♂: Präglans ohne Dornen (Abb. 22c); ♀ : Oviscapt schwarz, selten am Rand etwas heller; auf Crepis biennis und C. pyrenaica........(S.6 6 ) crepidis — ♂: Präglans mit Dornen (Abb. 22d); ♀ : Oviscapt meist rötlich mit schwarzem Mittelstreifen; auf Crepis conyzifolia....... (S. 6 5 ) conyzifoliae Oviscape colouration, however, in some populations, slightly vary; with 95% probability, it IS crepidis. Edited by Nosferatumyia on 14-02-2026 11:36 Val |
