Hello, This Sciapodinae male has been collected in a yellow pan trap in coastal area of Moorea, in French Polynesia. It doesn't seem to match with any of the Sciapodinae recorded from this country with such male genitalia, does anyone have an idea of the genus please ? Thank you for the help ! It may be a different subfamily. Vein M is not forked and the vertex is not excavated. |

After some research, I think this morphospecies belongs to the genus Paraclius, in the Dolichopodinae subfamily. The branched vein M misled me, as well as the fact that the subfamily Dolichopodinae was not known yet from this country. Does anyone can confirm the genus Paraclius ? |
