Tricimba ?cincta (Meigen, 1830), Chloropidae, the most abundant European species in the genus. Sure identification is possible only after the male genitalia. T. cincta is variable, partly the tip and hind edge of the scutellum is yellowish. The upper image shows two of the three impressed grooves on the scutum with its criss-cross arranged acrostichals. Larvae are saprophagous in mushrooms, dicots and monocots. |
