 Hi,

this appr. 7 mm fly was found on reed on August 18 at Kyritz lake in Brandenburg, Germany. I have no idea which species it could be, and I appreciate your help.

 Hello Roger,

thank you very much! Yes, it sometimes showed a Sepsidae-like behavior. And I often saw females of T. putris. This is my first male.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
