Looks like Sapromyza zetterstedti. Better view of back would clinch it. It has all the other features, including large rounded 3rd antennal segment, 4 AC's, and short 1st DC. Mark |

in the 3rd Pic, one can see the Dark patch on the back of the the head, (Occiput), But the spots on the abdomen are not visible. I the 1st photo The rounded 3rd antennal segment are clear, and the spots on the abdomen. On balance, if you only submit one photo the second is the best. But I think you can submit many if needed and you are happy doing so? I know you only tack photos, buy if any one else reading this post, Sapromyza zetterstedt is rare in museum collections (and my own ) if there is a chance to collect it please do so. Mark |
