Hello, On October 26, 2019 in the south of France on ivy. A small fly less than 5 mm long. The picture is not good but the scutellum seems to me to have a very cut-out shape that can perhaps lead to a family? Thank you for your help. Thank you very much Nikita, With a blurry picture it wasn't easy! On INPN, in France, there can be Psilopa nitidula, polita and roederi. I can't find any pictures of P. roederi but I see that the light color of the legs I doesn't correspond to either P. nitidula or P. polita. |

Anyway Psilopa sp. may be a solution. I was led by the given length of animal ("less than 5 mm", but, of course, less than 2.5 mm, which is usual length of Psilopa, is less than 5 mm as well. |
