Hi, Together with other insects this tiny fly was beaten from herbs today. I could take only one picture before it left the box. My only idea is Psilopa nitidula (Ephydridae) that is occurring in the Berlin region. Unfortunately we cannot see if the arista is feathery. Any suggestions are welcome! I'd agree with Psilopa, and could be nitida, but I'd rather not say for sure with such a modest individual

Psilopa is more than satisfying! There are about four species in the Berlin region, so we are already very close. I am glad I got the right genus - many thanks, dear Tony. |
