Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, hedge with a drainage ditch between a playground and a field of a nursery school for trees, grown up with bushes like Corylus, Acer campestre, Salix and other, at a leaf of Rosa sp, 4th of June 2019, Outdoorphotos: kuv. Hello kuv, Pollenia is correct and it is not of the amentaria group despite the black appearance. One way to notice this fact is the tessellations of the abdomen which are visible in your photos. Thus, the only similar species is a Pollenia labialis male, since we can exclude the amentaria group. It is quite rough looking so i understand the difficulty trying to identify it. Just remember that a wholly black basicosta and a dark posterior spiracle leads to P. labialis when you are certain it is not of the amentaria group. Best wishes, John John and Nini.
