Thank You Paul. I have never seen this species before. It's not the most common Lauxaniidae here in Finland. After studying our database I found the previous record from year 1932 There must be some after that but the data has not been stored. Nice fly anyway. Jari |

I have a few from the last years, but the places where it is found tend to be only the best (old) humid broadleaved forests (lehto forest type in Finnish ) It's definitely a nice fly to find! Kahis |
