Location: ~30 km N of Stockholm, Sweden Date: 2007-JUN-16 Habitat: Mixed trees in copse in between tilled land Size: ~5 mm This Hybotidae, Platypalpus agilis?, was found caught in a spiders web on on a leaf. In that web where also a couple of Dolichopodidae. I should have taken more photos when I had the chance, but I didn't think the flies would be in that good condition. Not quite, in P. agilis mid and hind coxae and trochanters are black. It is difficult to identify this image because the number of occipital setae is unclear. Igor |
