Lincoln 10/7/11. This appears to be cingulata but I would be grateful for confirmation. I have tried to illustrate the extra pair of setae on the ocellar triangle, the small apical bristles on the scutellum and the excavation falling far short of tergite, but I haven't been able to find a decent image.

No problem  Out of interest, have you discounted Paracraspedothrix montivaga ... are you using an unmodified Belshaw key or the one with my updates?

Actually, my initial identification came from a range of features entered into the Italian open-access site (I presume Paracraspedothrix would be there?) and afterwards the trail to Phytomyptera seemed to work in unmodified Belshaw. So the answer is No! |

Ahhh, OK ... Mosch Web will be up to date so you should be fine ... just if you got there using an old Belshaw then you'd have a potential problem with the newish (post 1993) species Paracraspedothrix montivaga
