Hi,

For a friend from Cagnes-sur-Mer (French Côte d'Azur) on january 2019.
Larvae and imago which look like Phrosia species ♀
Lateral ocelli touching eye margin
Fine setae of tibia in regular rows
Somebody to confirm, or not ?
Thanks in advance.

Phronia is correct. Almost impossible to identify to species level from pictures, entirely impossible when they are females.

Paul, here is a male from the same site.
If the picture is not suffisant to get species my friend is able to send you the specimen.

I received the specimens today and as it happens I identified the same species just last week and it has quite distinctive genitalia: Phronia conformis. According to Fauna Europaea it is known from France.
