what sort of fly is this from north london? They like to perch and feed on fallen trunks. I thought it might be Periscelididae but I can't find anything with dark on the wing thanks, Jeremy jeremyr attached the following image: ![]() [39.1Kb] Edited by jeremyr on 29-05-2014 21:44 |

thanks Stephane, that's not a family that crossed my mind. There are P. dorsata and ventralis in the Juncus areas fringing the woods but they're larger and look quite different |
