Dear Sirs and Madams,

I took the photograph of the insect on the images on 2019-09-29 around 17:30 (05:30 p.m.) south of munich on the border of a small forest on a sunny day.
I tried to found out which species this could be and ended with Parasyrphus Annulatus.
It would be great if anyone could tell me which species this is exactly Smile

I hope the images will be displayed correctly in the post because the preview only gave the url link.

Kind Regards

Thomas

Hello,

Syrphus sp.. Not S. ribesii, because the hind femora are partly dark in this female as it seems. Most likely S. torvus.

P.S.: The species name is always written in lowercase.
Best regards,
Jürgen
