Ulyanovsk Region (middle Volga). Bred from the nest of Bombus muscorum parasited by Cuckoo bumblebees and some dipteran larvae which turned to be Cylindromyia's lavrae. I think you have a member of tribe Minthoini. Females in the tribe tend to have modified fore tarsi and reduced or absent claws. Not too many species in European Russia. |

John is right: looks like a straightforward Mintho rufiventris. Record is very interesting. Obviously, Bombus is nit the host. I guess Galleria is. Theo |
