Collected 19 August 2016, Carex bed by a small pond in a business park, Bangor, North Wales.

It keys to this using the Pitkin RES Handbook, but it is based on absence of spurs and spines, never as convincing as presence of structures.

The specimen is in alcohol. Not as shiny black as some of the photos in the gallery.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
