Hello!
Is it possible to give this fly from yesterday (11.10.2020) from Leipzig (Saxony/Germany) a name?
Best regards,
Maik

The wing venation and pattern on the thorax and abdomen match the diagrams of female Lindneromyia dorsalis in Chandler, 2001, The Flat-footed Flies (Diptera: Opetiidae and Platypezidae) of Europe

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
