Found this on my greenhouse today while scraping off old paint prior to repainting (always take a camera with you). Apart from killing large quantities of flies stuck to the paint..Frown, this little one managed to pose long enough for me to get 2 dodgy photographs.
Looks like some kind of Ischiolepta compared to pics in the Gallery.
I have one on my checklist (FWIW) which is I.vaporariorum, which seems a hell of a long name for something 2-3mm in length. Is this it, or as usual with these it is sp. only?

It is difficult to assess whether there are microtrichia between the wart-like spines on the dorsum or not. Since the surface seems to be shining they may be absent, in which case it should be I denticulata rather than vaporariorum (or another species for that matter). Did you collect it?

The fly wasn't collected..too busy balancing paint scrapers, sandpaper and camera and possibly a tin of lager to catch it.
So I can put it as E.denticulata with what percentage of confidence?

Regards Roger...(Multi-taskers R-Us).

Ay degree you wish as there is hardly anyone who could tell you that you are right or wrong.
