Hello, this Lauxaniidae of 4 mm was observed at home (near the town of Sens ; Yonne department, France) on April 21. Is it a Minettia ? Thanks for your expertise. Jean-Michel GAREL : France : Brannay : 89150 : 21/04/2024 Altitude : NR - Taille : 4 environ Réf. : 341379 |

Hi Paul, Mikes key says (Lauxaniidae, item 8): " Note that in Homoneura interstincta the costal spines terminate before the end of R4+5." It does not looks like here.

You are right. This is the species which was misinterpreted as interstincta by 'authors' and that was renamed as mediospinosa by Merz.
