Persefoni Trail, Troodos Mountains, Cyprus.
May 20, 2016

Spotted this Bombyliidae spec. during a walk along the Persefoni Trail near to Troodos Square, in the Troodos Mountains.

I think this might be a "Hemipenthes morio", but I´m not sure. There so many look a likes with just small differences.

Checked Fauna Europaea and "Hemipenthes morio" is listed on Cyprus.

Am I right or is this a different species?

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
