My guess is Helophilus pendulus, not H. trivittatus.
Would thast be correct?

This is a rarer species : male Helophilus hybridus.

Nowadays H. hybridus is not so rare in The Netherlands as it is in (the middle and south of) France.

I meant "rarer than H. pendulus & trivittatus". This is still the case, even in The Netherlands, no ?

Yes, you are right. H. pendulus and H. trivittatus are still the most common Helophilus species here.
