Fucellia species. There are five species known from Sweden: griseola, signata, fucorum, maritima and tergina. I only have the description of the last three one's, so for me it will keep Fucellia species. Johanna (nice sharp photos by the way...) |

Thanks Johanna ! The only info I can find about griseola and signata is that griseola should have whitish wings and signata is probably from the north of Sweden and not from where I live. /Leif K |

Both griseola and signata have milky-white wings with a brown pattern. The former with only the crossveins bordered, the latter with extensive darkening, including the front margin, a spot at the wing apex and a patch covering both crossveins. Using Hennig's key, the specimen above runs to F. tergina. |

Thanks empeejay ! I think you are absolutely correct. Because of the eyes I thought it was a female but now iI realize its a male First one image showing the absence of an av-setae on mid tibia (anterior view of left mid tibia) skrylten attached the following image: [152.59Kb] |

Don't worry, I didn't notice it was a male either! I just accepted your word and ran it through the key to females. It makes no difference though, as males of both griseola and signata lack the tubercle on the hind femur. |
