Caught with a net in the vegetation by a pond, Telamark, Norway on July 30th. 9 mm.

Eurychaeta (Calliphoridae). I guess you only have palpalis.

Funny you mistook it for a Tachinidae. It is “normally”: mistaken for a Sarc (but bright yellow palpus highly distinctive)

According to habitus, this was a clear Tachinidae ( in my view), so I did not look for the subscutellum. Smile

Well, strong parafacial are rare in Tachinidae (Peleteria) and common in Sarcophagidae


hence Calliphoridae Smile
