Welcome. The pictures are somewhat little, but it seems to be an Eumerus sp. (Syrphidae).

Wow, thanks, Hoverfly didn't even cross my mind! (I'm a real beginner at this). Sorry about the small pics, I compressed them thinking that would be better for posting... Another thread HERE that I have found since you gave me 'Eumerus' suggested one of the following: Eumerus funeralis (= tuberculatus)/strigatus/sogdianus Does one of those seem right? |
