Hi Pietro, it's not the E. interrupta because of the black antennae, E. interrupta have the orange antennae.

E. tenax have two vertical hairs band on the eyes, E. arbustorum have the hairs on the eyes from the middle to down.
Mid tibia yellow on the basal for 2/3, basal 2 tarsomeres of the mid leg generally bright yellow.

Seems to be E. arbustorum male, but let me do some research, I'm not so expert Wink

Ciao,
Marcello

Face without vertical black stripe, arista with long hairs, tibia 2 with top quarter black -> E. arbustorum. Compare discussion in http://www.dipter...pid=186178. E. interrupta has brown spots mainly on tergite 2, so the abdomen appears quite dark.
Regards, Sundew

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
