Hi together,

found this Sciomyzidae species in our garden near the pond. Picture taken on the 29th of March. Looks like a kind of Limnia sp. (Like the one on my profil picture ;-). Does L. unguirostris fly that early? This one also shows a quite distnctive wing mark, wich I have drawn green on the right side. Not the greatest pictures, sorry for that.

Any ideas?

It is Elgiva solicita, female - really very early spring species.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
