Hi, found these in a forest, E-Hungary, this April. Can an ID be given?

I'd be inclined to say Psilopa of the Ephydridae.

They look more like Drosophila to me.

I also think they are neither Psilopa, nor Ephydridae.

I agree that they're not Psilopa - the tergites are not big enough - in Psilopa (and most other ephydrids) they extend well under the abdomen. The large expanse of white abdominal membrane certainly looks more drosophilid-like to me.

Well, I'd say that the bottom picture shows two setae curving over the face from the left side of the head. That does not look like Drosophila.
