Hello, these fly photos were taken in October in Germany in Saxony. Is species ID possible? 1st picture: Drosophila repleta? 2nd picture: Drosophila hydei? or belong both specimen to the same species? ..As for the second picture, I fully agree with D. hydei. Concerning the first picture, I would be somewhat cautious - the darkening of costal break indeed points to D. repleta, but it would be nice to see some more characters, e. g. fore coxa and ventrolateral parts of abdominal tergites. |
