If you have a dorsal shot...? The palpi remind me of those of Desmometopa varipalpis, described from Australia.

Thanks Paul. I'd say you are correct. There are some pictures and notes on ALA for this species. Most gratifying to get a species determination. I'll submit the picture for the gallery.
