Yea, it should be a Phyllomyza. Havent seen a species with spotted palpi in Finland.

It does look very like the picture of Desmometopa varipalpis on 'Milichiidae Online'. |

Yes, this is Desmometopa varipalpis, could be the first record for the UK. I think the species has been distributed around Europe in the last years through commerce, because it develops in rotten fruits and vegetables. Irina |
