Another one, that I had not seen before. This looks quite distinct from other common Tachinids.

It's very difficult to see, but I'm convinced it's Demoticus plebejus. The peculiar bend in vein M gives it away. The projecting mouthedge and thickened arista are then visible, though out of focus. Theo |
