If I have to make a guess, though, I'd say it is rather a Calliopum elisae than a simillimum

Ah, I did not even realize they are not in the gallery. I have quite a number in own collection. I think in Ukraine you may expect C. elisae and C. splendidum. From the photo it is not possible to say which of the two it is. As far as I know, but I can be mistaken, is the last species not recorded from Ukraina yet. You did not collect the specimen? ruud van der weele rvanderweele@gmail.com |

Well, I think there is a fair chance that it is at least the same species. This one is certainly Calliopum elisae

The problem is because of the light it is impossible to say what the real color is. Secondly the photo isn't sharp enough, so I cannot see the number of ac rows. If 4, then it is certainly C. elisae. Maybe a suggestion for a next time. When you make some nice photos of them, catch a specimen and look at it in more detail. Of course, you may always send a specimen to me for identification. ruud van der weele rvanderweele@gmail.com |

It looks lick it may have only 2 rows of acrostichals? and all tibia look dark. so C. elisae seem the most likely. but really need to see more or have specimen to be sure. If you have specimen I would love to see it? |
