Hi, yesterday I've found this fly in Ansbach, Frankenhoehe Nature Park, old deciduous forest, 2022-04-29. Is it Brachypalpus chrysites?

I would say Brachypalpus valgus. I observe B. chrysites regularly and its abdomen is more "golden" and more hairy. See this one, for instance: https://diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=94723 , of course, I am not an expert.

Best regards, Matej

I would also vote for B. valgus according to Van Veen's key (https://books.goo...&hl=de). The hind tibia does not look as extreme as in B. chrysites, and the abdomen tip seems to be black-haired.
