There is a species Chrysopilus elegans with clear wings, pale legs, and a dark spot on the abdomen. I do not know if you have that species.

Here is the original description, from Schiner 1868:198-199 and possibly with uncorrected OCR errors. A German speaker can compare.

Chrysopila elegans n. sp.

Sammtschwarz, die Brustseiten braun, etwas gleissend; Behaarung am und vor dem
Schildchen sehr zart und durchaus schwarz. Hinterleib an der Basis mit einer blassgelben Querbinde, welche den Hinterrand des ersten und den Vorderrand des zweiten Ringes ausfüllt und sich auch auf dem Bauche fortsetzt: am Bauche vervreitet sich blassgeble Färbung auch auf die folgenden Ringe, erreicht aber den Seitenrand nicht; die zarte Behaarung an den gelben Stellen ist gleichfalls gelb. Kopf sehr gross, fast ganz durch die grossen Augen ausgefüllt, deren Facetten aber grösser als unten sind, so dass die ganz gerade Grenze derselben stark auffällt; Untergesicht blasig aufgetrieben, braun; Fühler sehr kurz, die Basalglieder bräunlichgelb, das dritte, runde Glied schwärzlich, die Borste fein und lang; Taster schwarz und schwarz behaart, der kurze Rüssel bräunlichgelb. Beine blassgelb, die Hüften schwarz. Flügel rein glashell, mit zarten schwarzbraunen Adern und rundlichen, scharf begrenzten, sehr intensiv schwarzbraunem Randmahle; die obere Zinke der Cubitalgabel an der Basis steil dann rechtwinkelig abgebogen; die Basis der obersten der aus der Discoidalzelle vorne ausstrahlenden Adern etwas zurückgerückt; Analzell eeine Strecke vor dem Flügelrande geschlossen; Schwinger gelb mit schwarzbraunem Knopfe. 2—2¼'''. Drei Männchen aus Columbien.

Die Art gehört in die nächste Verwandtschaft von Chrysopila basilaris Say und Chr. clara Wlk., sie ist von beiden, abgesehen von allen anderen, durch die gelbe Hinterleibsbinde verschieden.
