Hello,
is it a Dolichopodidae? I can't find any with those long wings, this relatively protruding "snout", etc. (French Riviera, 04/02/2019, length (with wings), 5,5mm).
Thanks in advance.

Despite the long wings, I had put aside Campsicnemus because of the postpedicel, looking rounded, but it was certainly misleading.
Thank you Mr Grichanov!

Keep in mind that Campsicnemus females have short and rounded postpedicel.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
