Wow! Thanks a lot, it seems to be Minettia subvittata, the only species living in Dodecanese islands according to Fauna Europaea. |

Hello Paul. There is no record of M. tabidiventris from Rhodes, Greece according to the Fauna Europaea site. Do you think it s more likely to be M. tabidiventris ? |

M. tabidiventris has no paler stripes on the mesonotum. This character is rather deceptive because the dusting may be palish while the underground is dark. Specimens in alcohol are a doddle, dry (and live) ones can be tricky. Genitalia are decisive, though. M. tabidiventris was recorded, a.o., from Greece (inc.
