I have keyed out this small (5mm), black, male fly as Dufouria chalybeata. As I have not seen this species before I would be grateful for confirmation. That is totally OK. Here in western Europe, D. chalybeata is the only species of Dufouria I see. I am always surprised that the old authors all knew nigrita and occlusa, I have never seen the latter and nigrita only from tropical destinations as Mongolia. Theo  |
