Unless I'm getting the wrong photo on my laptop  this appears to be Urophora sp maybe jaceana (female). [Tephritidae] According to Google search Sitticus pubescens is a Jumping Spider..I've zoomed in on this photo...can't find one of those...anywhere.  |

Is it possible to tell if it is jaceana, cuspidate, or may-be neither? |

Dear Alandy, it can be cuspidata, but I cannot tell with certainty that it is not U. solstitialis: the only characters are either the host plant or the very tip of the ovipositor (under high magnification). As the fore femur has a dark vitta, it is CERTAINLY NO jaceana. Val |
