It is indeed Hydrophoria lancifer Harris male. Your photos show the characters which lead to this species. Anal vein reaching wing margin. Arista plumose. Scutellum with many setulae dorsally (cuts out Hylemya). Femora dark, and finally, to separate it from the very similar H. diabata) the epandrium is not elongated. |
