Could someone help me identifying these Tephritid?
Perhaps an Terellia ceratocera?
The photo (author: Thomas Rickfelder) was made in Cantabria, Spain, on 8.5.2008.
There are two additional images, if needed.

Thanks

As far I as know, Orellia scorzonerae has not been founded in the iberian peninsula...
I think that this view (http://www.biodiv...00279.html) can be more detailed to ID this fly.
Thank you

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
