Hello,
this tabanidae was found the 18 10 2022 on a horse in a meadow of the city.Body length : 8,5 mm.
Locality : Luçon 85400 middle west of France.

Is it possible with these pictures to get speces ?

This is very special indeed. Bigoti or better.

Is the pair of small black spots on clypeus present ?
(Check any pluvialis to see what I mean)

Hello ,
here is a ventral shot where we can see what seems to me to be the clypeus and we can distinguish 2 small dark spots on it.

I checked the head under the microscope and I don't see any constriction on the first antennal article.

It is a bit late in the year, but otherwise it has all features of H. bigoti, so that that is what it should be. I am not an expert on southern France phenology Smile
