Head of calyptrate fly. Photo copyright ? A.W. Thomas.

After all, I must acknowledge and must give my big thank you to Tony for sharing this photo.

First version, I will updated more and more in the days overcome. Wink
I have to fix the "head lateral view" as well.

1 - posterior reclinate orbital seta(e) = posterior orbital bristle; 2 - anterior reclinate orbital seta(e) = anterior orbital bristle;
3 - frontalia = frons - postfrons; 4 - compoud eye; 5 - ommatidium = facet (plural: ommatidia = facets); 6 - ptilinal suture; 7 - lunula; 8 - 1st antennal segment; 9 - 2nd antennal segment = pedicel; 10 - antennal seam; 11 - 3rd antennal segment = 1st flagellomere; 12 - arista; 13 - fronto-genal suture; 14 - vibrissa (plural: vibrissae); 15 - fronto-clypeal suture
