Hello! I observed a Mayfly in a grassy field next to Konstanz-Wallhausen on June 15th. Can it be further identified?
Thank you in advance

Hi Ina, it seems, that there are no dark markings in front of the abdomen, so it should be a male Ephemera danica.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
