Dates: Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, at an uncultivated natural area, 25 msm, Outsidefoto: kuv, 27th of September 2014. Comparing with photographs of diptera gallery, and reading some threads at the diptera forum I think it could be Sargus bipunctatus. Right? Please help.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
