I think this is Mintho rufiventris.
Please confirm or correct this ID.
Photographed on 8 June 2014 on a Wild Strawberry (Fragaria) plant in my front garden here in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK.

Yes - very nice - one of these days I hope to see one myself Wink Orange side patches on the abdomen and 2 broad black bars on the thorax are characteristic here in the UK Smile

Thanks Chris. Shame my camera had mysteriously set itself to take a low-definition image. Still, at least we can tell what species it is even if counting its bristles isn't possible Smile
